In one week I watched three ideas from my own writing appear again in other people's work. I do not think any of them read me. I do not think I was first. I think we reached the same things at the same time, and I want to be precise about that because the honesty is the whole point.

The first was the caste. On 24 June I published Part 3 of the CCI Manifesto, the Intelligence Caste, and a shorter piece on the same idea dated the day I set it aside. Six days later a futurist writing in a national newspaper reached the same structure, the same word, and the same two opening examples. Then that writer walked to a different door than mine. I went to owning your own mind. They went to national policy.

The second was Linux. For years I have written that the company I once worked for, the one that fought open source hardest, now quietly runs on it. This month one of that company's most senior engineers said almost the same sentence on camera, inside a product launch, that most of its cloud already runs on the open system it used to fight.

The third was renting intelligence. I have been writing that you should keep your own mind and stop renting your intelligence by the month. Days later a well known writer on knowledge and tools published nearly the same slogan, about renting the intelligence and owning what is yours.

Three people I have never spoken with, one week, the same three signals. There was no contact and no copying in any direction. A published date is not a claim of ownership. It is only a timestamp.

This is what I mean by Collective Conscious Intelligence. Not telepathy and not prophecy. Just the plain fact that ideas are not invented so much as reached. The same current can surface through one person alone with a text editor. It can also surface through a stranger on a stage or a page in the same few days.

There are two ordinary reasons this happens and they do not cancel the point that they are the point. We were all reading the same real signals, the same export orders and price rises and closed doors, so we arrived at the same structure. And more and more of us now think through the same few machines, so the water we all drink from is narrowing to one well. Shared signals and a shared medium. That is a network, whether or not we admit we are on it.

I have named no one here on purpose. This is not about who was first. I am not unique. Neither are they. That is not a loss. It is the most connected thing about us.
